Original art is cherished and loved all over the globe and is one of the fastest growing areas of entertainment in the world generating millions of dollars per year! Whatever your preference, if you are looking to buy art, there are several factors you should take into consideration and keep in mind throughout the process. First of all, you should know that in addition to original pieces of art, you can also find a lot of reprinted or reproduced art. If you are looking for an original piece of art that is 100% authentic, you should ensure that the piece you are contemplating buying is indeed authentic and not reproduced art.
Wouldn't it feel good to know that in the entire world, you are the only person to own a piece of art? Yes, I thought so. Owing original art and keeping it in top quality condition will only add to the value of the piece over time, and eventually you may have a small fortune on hand.
Most people don't know how to find original art or how to differentiate reprints from the originals. If you want to buy art online, be careful.

If the work has value, people will pay. As the quality of your work increases, so should its selling price. I consider "haggling for cheap" to be disrespectful of creative art. With me, as soon as someone tries to deal for cheap, it's game over. I don't take the contract. I learned the hard way that bargain-hunters will nickel and dime you to death, then refer all their friends to do the same.
I learned over time that respectful art/crafts buyers will buy a good value within an affordable range. If customers, especially loyal ones, are buying many pieces, or referring new customers, it's always good karma to offer a discount long before they even ask for it. It's also good business.
I love Haida, Coast Samish and Tlingit fine art serigraphs. My favorite artists have developed phenomenal artistic skills over the years, so even though prices have increased dramatically since my first purchase, the work is worth every penny because it always inspires me every time I look at it.
